Tengawa Hokkaido White Curry

Our visit to Tengawa Hokkaido White Currywas unplanned. It happened to around the area when we bought our mooncakes at Pan Pacific hotel. This quaint little restaurant is located at level 2 of Millenia Walk.

Our dinner here was rather straight forward and simple. The menu consisted of mainly dishes with white curry.

Every set meal comes with a soup and chawanmushi. The chawanmushi isn’t just plain old steam egg with mirin sauce but it has a shrimp in it.

In terms of taste, it is slightly different than the typical Japanese curry. White curry tastes more milky and creamy. You can easily mistaken the fact that the curry isn’t spicy at all but it still carries some spiciness but Japanese curry isn’t known for being spicy in the first place anyway.

Definitely meant as a casual Japanese dining place and not for large groups since it’s a pretty small place.
